They basically attack the delivery guy as he walks in the door. Thanks for a great product.

...and I take some of the fruit home to share with my family. We had the BEST mango we've ever eaten! It was gone in 30 seconds. We also enjoyed the baby bananas. They make great snacks on their own but we got creative. We peeled the skin off, put in popsicle sticks, and froze them. Then we dipped the frozen baby bananas into chocolate and they made the perfect sized summer snacks.

I just wanted to share what I did with some of my Crave! Fruit recently. Read more
I took a couple of the ripe nectarines and lychees I still had from last week's delivery and some Santa Rosa plums from this week's delivery and sliced them up into a pitcher. I also sliced up a Meyer lemon from the tree in my backyard and added it to the pitcher. I macerated the fruit with about three ounces of Limoncello and one tablespoon of sugar. Then, I slowly poured and mixed in a bottle of Riesling. I let it sit in the fridge overnight. The next night, I added three cups of ice cubes and one bottle of sparkling Pellegrino. It was a beautiful, fruity and refreshing sangria that went fantastically with my Chinese Chicken Salad. Yay, me!

Every year I am invited to the Franklin Family Easter Event. It takes place at my best friend's Aunt Norma's house, which happens to be the same place that I was married at. My best friend and I have been friends for over 17 years and I am lucky to now have an extended family through her family. Read more
For this event, it was requested that we bring one potluck item and Easter Basket Candy enough for 15 kids. I waiting until Good Friday to purchase my candy and Good Friday happen to be the same day that I received my Crave! at Work Tote. In my Tote, I had Seedless Muscat grapes, Ojai Pixies, and Avocados. There were even a couple of passion fruits stowed away in the top as a teaser.

While shopping, I just couldn't bring myself to only bring candy. I decided make a little baggie full of candy and included a Pixie that I received in my Tote. I found a colorful Easter Egg design and printed out a message for all of the kids essentially wishing them happy Easter and telling them a bit about the Pixie. The Pixie seemed like the perfect item for kid sized hands. I even used the brown crinkle cut packing paper that was in the bottom of the Crave! Tote boxes. They turned into Easter grass in my little baggies and made them look very festive with my rainbow colored egg print out. Then I loaded them all into one of the Tote boxes for the event.

The day of the event, I think I had one of the coolest looking packages. I certainly was the only one that handed out fruit. Now, I think I will do that every year!
We received our first delivery yesterday and it was awesome. The fruit was perfectly ripe and delicious. Read more
I had never had a Honey Crisp apple and it was the juiciest apple I've ever had. And, the packaging materials are fantastic – made from 75% recycled materials and 100% recyclable!

I just received my second Crave! at work tote bag and it contained a bottom layer of "Sonya" red apples, a middle layer of individually wrapped fragrant pears from China, and a top layer of of stem and leaf satsumas. The fragrant pears were wrapped in tissue and then wrapped again in a protective netting. The stem and leaves on the satsumas looked so cute poking out of the top of the tote. Read more
I used one of the tote boxes to use as a basket on my desk, again. I put a selection of the three fruits in it so I would have it for snacking. I took the other two boxes in my tote to take home. At home, I put the boxes out so my kids just grab what they wanted when they were in a snacking mood.

We were really pleased with the selection. The satsumas were so easy to peel and were refreshing. The fragrant pears had a wonderful crisp crunchiness and a delicate flavor. The Sonya apples were very good tasting. The fragrant pears and satsumas were just the right size for my kids to snack on, the apples were a little too big. Again, the fruit lasted a week for a family of four.

We established a tote return at work, so I brought my bag back to work and turned it in to be reused.
I received my first Crave! tote bag last week on Thursday. It was beautiful. The bottom layer had red Bartlett pears that were individually wrapped in green tissue paper. The second layer had kiwis and was beautifully packed; it looked like a layer of brown fuzzy eggs nesting in straw. The top layer had two bags of huge, red, Holiday grapes. Read more
As soon as I got my tote, I took out a bag of the Holiday grapes and started snacking. I kept them on my desk all day. A single box from the tote actually makes a great "basket" to keep the fruit in on your desk.

I forgot to take my tote bag home on Thursday so it was still in my office on Friday. On Friday, I took another bag of grapes out and snacked on them all day. The grapes were just as crunchy sweet as on Thursday. Really addicting! I took the rest of my tote bag home on Friday. I also had a pear on Friday and it was delicious! The pear was just ripe for eating and was very sweet. The tote boxes were perfect for stacking the fruit in my refrigerator so that's what I did with the pears and the kiwi when I got home.

On Saturday morning, I scooped out some of the kiwis and my family had them with our eggs and bacon for breakfast. The bright green added a lot of color to the table and the kiwis were really sweet.

Saturday night, I used my tote bag and the boxes to hold ingredients that I was taking to my mother-in-law's house to cook dinner. The tote bag and boxes worked fabulously. I had pears protected in the bottom layer box, marinades cooling in the second layer box, and my cut veggies resting in the top layer box. I used the pears that night in a delicious, simple dessert. I peeled and sliced the pears and layered them in ice cream bowls. I added a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a drizzle of dark chocolate sauce. It was heaven.

On Monday, I brought my tote bag back to work so it could be reused. I still have kiwis at home (we ate all the grapes and pears already) and I have been using them in the kids' lunches for school. I can't wait for my next tote!
